To facilitate corporate inquiries, in accordance with the announcement on the management of amino acids in special dietary foods jointly issued by the National Health Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation, the GB 14880-2012 database has been updated to include information on amino acids permitted for use in special dietary foods.

The information includes: monomeric amino acids allowed in infant formula (GB 10765),  older infants formula (GB 10766), infant formula for special medical purposes (GB 25596), formula for special medical purposes (GB 29922), and sports nutrition food (GB 24154), their sources from compounds, and their usage requirements.
