According to the NHC Notice of No.1, 2025 on Three New Food (new food raw material, new food additive, and new food-related product) issued by National Health Commission, new substance information has been updated to the following four databases:
1. Approval list of New Food Raw Materials (Novel food): 5 new raw materials
- Stevia polyphenols
- Lemon myrtle leaf
- Maqui berry anthocyanins
- Wheat polar lipids
- Calcium β-hydroxy-β-methyl butyrate (CaHMB)
2. GB 2760-2024 Database: 6 new varieties of food additive
- Butylated hydroxytoluene
- Phosphodiesterase I
- Lipase
- Hydroxycitronellal
- Curdlan (expand the allowed food scopes)
- Enzymatically produced steviol glycosides (expand the allowed food scopes)
4. GB 14880-2012 Database: 3 new nutrition enhancers
- 2’-fucosyllactose,2’-FL (two different sources)
- Fructooligosaccharide (produced by the β-fructosyltransferase from Aspergillus japonicus)
