In China, there is no positive list of raw materials available for registration health food. In addition to common food, approved new food raw materials, substances which can be conventionally regarded as both food and Chinese medicine, and the substances available in health food (Annex 2 of MOH Notice of No.51, 2002), there is another type of requirements released by regulatory authorities in China, specifying the requirements for the use of a certain type or one raw material in health food.

This list is compiled by CIRS based on various regulatory documents issued by the regulatory authorities in China over the years. It includes a series of information on supplementary announcements for registration health food raw materials, aiming to help enterprises quickly access the using requirements and regulatory basis of relevant raw materials.
