On December 1, 2020, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) officially issued Coenzyme Q10, Melatonin, Fish oil, Broken Ganoderma lucidum spore powder and Spirulina Health Food Raw Materials Directory and Their Technical Requirements (hereinafter referred to as “Health Food Raw Materials Directory”). The Health Food Raw Materials Directory will come into effect on March 1, 2021, which means that the health food with this 5 ingredients as single raw materials shall be filed since March 2021.
An important piece of information found by CIRS is that, the Health Food Raw Materials Directory released this time is the official version of SAMR Notice of Public Soliciting on Coenzyme Q10, Melatonin, Fish oil, Broken Ganoderma lucidum spore powder and Spirulina Health Food Raw Materials Directory and Their Technical Requirements, which was issued on April 1, 2019. For filing products contained the 5 ingredients, both the quality of raw materials and final products shall comply with the corresponding technical requirements. However, the technical requirements on final products has not been issued, since the official version of the SAMR Notice of Public Soliciting on Filing Product Technical Requirements of Health Food Raw Material Directory for Coenzyme Q10, Melatonin, Fish oil, Broken Ganoderma lucidum spore powder and Spirulina has not been released yet. In order to ensure that raw materials and products meet the filing requirements, it is necessary to wait for the formal release of product technical requirements.
