Introduction:

In China, when the application of a new food raw material or food additive has passed the technical review, the National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) will issue a draft for the substance to solicit public comment. This list summarizes the list of new food raw materials and new food additives that CFSA has released for public comments (updating), aiming to help enterprises quickly grasp the process of applying for new substances.

In addition, the Chinese regulatory authorities are constantly conducting dynamic researches and updating on the list of Health Food Raw Materials Directory. This list also includes information on raw material that has been solicited for opinions.

Notes:

The new substances included in this list have not yet been approved for use in China. Thus, it cannot be used until the Chinese authorities issue formal announcements for approval.
